My family has gone there several times. its a lot of fun! theres basically something to do for everyone and many great places to eat. the only problems might be crowds. there are things called fastpasses though which each person can get by putting their park passes in a fastpass dispenser. they have time slots on them for you to return to your ride/attraction you selected with a much shorter wait.

I went for new years with my marching band three years ago and it was awesome. I also went when I was in 5th grade.

I love it, I would go there every year if I could. There’s so much to see and do between all of the parks that I was amazed how much my friends and I were able to accomplish in just the week we were there.

My favorite things are Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

With Magic Kingdom and all the other parks it’s best to get there early. The most popular rides had line jumper tickets so you can pick up a ticket and then go back to the ride at the specified time and skip the majority of the line, it’s a GREAT time saver.

Animal Kingdom was a blast! I actually got picked out of the audience to do some african dance with some of the performers so that was hilarious. I love the Safari Ride, my pictures came out really well, and you can’t even tell you’re in Disney. We saw Giraffes, Hippos, Crocs, Monkeys, and some other animals that I can’t remember off the top of my head. If you want to go on that make sure it’s the first thing you do. The animals are more active in the mornings and are usually hiding by the afternoon.

The first time we went, my family and I stayed at the Port Orleans Hotel. For me it was awesome since the pool had a giant dragon and its tongue was the waterslide. other than that, it was just a basic, practically motel, (doors on the outside) 2 beds and bathroom deal.

The second time with my marching band we actually stayed at a hotel that was a little outside of disney and it was actually nicer than the one in Disney. We had our own buses that took us everywhere, but the hotel also offered free shuttle service to all of theme parks, as do all the ones actually on the disney property.

When i went with my family we went in September, not too far into school that I would miss alot, but also because it’s their off season due to hurricanes, so the rooms were cheaper. There were still a ton of people there though.

I could go on and on, because I love that place so much, it really is a blast and it’s a family vacation that I will always remember.

Been many times, it’s a great place.

I would recommend you develop a park tour plan. This is very important if you are only visiting for one day.
There are many tour plans available in books and on the web.

Or you could follow a simple plan I use. Just work left to right through the worlds(most people go right to left), and Fastpass the long wait rides. Also, during parades the rides clear out.

There are many websites offering discount tickets, like:

If you need plane tickets, rental car, lodging, etc, try here:

Ok, I have been three times to Florida and it’s better when you have a rough plan of what your going to do on each day. So i’ll tell you about all the theme parks which is what orlando is all about and then you can make a decision depending on what you like to do and how long you have. Make a list of the theme parks you definately want to go to and the ones you would like to go to. Go to the must do’s straight away incase you get to the end of the holiday and there is a storm for example.
Also I can’t reccomend enough to get a villa not a hotel. Sure the Disney hotels have some good extras but nothing can beat your own space in a villa. You have been rushed off your feet all day and it’s so relaxing to take a dip in your own pool and have your own space rather than moving around everyone in the single hotel room.
Discount tickets arn’t always believable so if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. My advice is to purchase directly from the theme parks online. If your staying for two weeks my best advice is a 14 day hopper pass for disney or magic your way. These will give you unlimited access to all of the theme parks. So you can come and go as you please which is a great idea.

    Disney:
The disney parks are often described as just for kids but you can’t be more wrong. Disney like most parks in Florida cater for everyone and I mean everyone. So little kids can visit minnie and mickeys house while those who love rides can go on some big rollercoasters.

Magic Kingdom - Unmissable, this is a brilliant experience for anyone and it is not to be missed. The best park if you have small children beacause of all the characters roaming the park and loads of kiddie rides like it’s a small world, peter pan, dumbo, snow white and goofys barnstormer. Although do not be fooled there are still some brilliant rides for the older people such as Splash mountain a long water ride which ends in a large almost verticle drop. You will get wet but it is very good and funny. Space mountain is also great. A rollercoaster but in the dark, twists and turns but no big drops and it very mild but still great fun. Also thunder mountain is another rollercoaster in the “wild west”. Very fun and again no big drops just very mild. Then there are other rides such as Buzz Lightyear which is great, you get a lazer gun and go through the toy story world and you have to shoot the “baddies” kids and grown-ups alike love this ride and try to get the top score. Then there is Lilo and Stitch which is also really good fun although some kids may find it scary you are in a room sat down and stich escapes getting up to mischeif alot of it on your shoulders. There are many other rides too such as the great attention to detail in pirates of the carribean. So much more like the haunted mansion and the fireworks show on the night is superb.

Epcot - Still a great theme park but not one of my favourites. Not aimed at kids as much, there are a few kids rides such as finding nemo but overall this is more educational. A large world showcase where there are food and drinks from other countries and then there is the three rides here. Mission space, it simulates going into space from a shuttle launch although some people do become sick. Test-track this is a great ride which goes through various car test with you as dummies finishing in a very fast lap. Finally soarin which simulates a hanglide over the golden gate bridge.

MGM studios - This park again is slightly more for teens and adults but kids still love it. Two awesome rides are here, rock n rollercoaster staring aerosmith is disneys only looping rollercoaster in orlando. A super fast start takes you through streets of new york. Also tower of terror, this is one of my favourite rides ever. You enter the old hotel into a service elevator and tower above orlando, it uses a randomizer so it is never the same ride twice, you could go up or down! Also there is the great movie ride a fun ride thorugh loads of different movies and muppets 3D which kids love.

Animal kingdom - Kids love the animal safari through africa and also seeing the animals as they walk round the park. The it’s touch to be a bug show is very funny and effective in it’s 3D style. Also dinoland USA is almost like a traditional fun fair apart from the brilliant ride Dinosaur. You travel back in time and search for a Dinosaur and alsmost get hit by the asteroid! The finding nemo show is brilliant for young kids which stands below the superb expedition everest. A brilliant rollercoaster which goes backwards and forwards in search of the yeti. One of the best rides ever! Also there is Kali river rapids which you will get soaked on!

    Disney Water Parks:
Disney also has two water parks. These are much more relaxing than the theme parks and you can lay on a lounger all day if you wish.

Typhoon lagoon - Not the best for slides but a brand new water coaster is open called Crush n Gusher a great ride where in your innertube you are shot up and down until the splash down. The other slides are rather mild with the exceotion of humunga kowabunga. Three drop slides that are almost verticle. There is also shark reef where you can go snorkling with fish and sharks (safely under a protective screen). But the thing that makes typhoon lagoon so good it the giant wave pool. Every 90 seconds a wave blasts out from the end of the pool that is 6 ft high! It knocks you away. Some people try to swim with it and when you go fast enough you actually swim onto of the wave. Down worry if your not an experienced swimmer though the pool is very long and slowly decreases in depth so theres the right area for everyone. It doesn’t get as strong in the shallow area.

Blizzard beach - This is all about the slides, worlds longest raft ride, americas tallest drop slide and so much more. If you prefer big thrills this is the place. Although there are still great areas for kids where you can jump across “icebergs” and some gentler slides are available.

    Universal Studios:
Universal studios has two theme parks, universal studios and islands of adventure. Don’t let people tell you this is only for people who love rollercoasters. Kids love this place too, I prefer it too Disney! (only 10 minutes from disney)

Universal studios - This is the park where you ride the movies, as you walk in on your right is shrek 4D a brilliant 3D show but goes one better than others in that your seats actually move like your on a horse. There is jimmy neutrons nick toons blast which is a simulator in which you travel through the nick toons world and kids see their favorite characters. Then there is Twister which is really good fun and it feels like your in a twister. Also the brilliant Mummy’s revenge, which is a rollercoaster that also goes backward at points. A real thrill but no loops or twists just a great indoor rollercoaster. Next there is jaws a very funny and thrilling boat ride in which you get more than you bargained for. Then Men in Black Alien Attack which is like buzz lightyear but is better in my opinion. Shoot lazers at the aliens and get a score, you battle against another team too. There is also Terminator 2 3D which is also a live show and is very clever. Then there is the woody woodpecker kids zone which has a small rollercoaster for kids and lots of play areas along with the very mild but fun ET ride.

Islands of adventure - Two great rollercoasters here with the fast starting hulk rollercoaster and dueling dragons where it feels like your going to hit the other rollercoaster. My personal favourite though is spiderman. A moving 3D simulator. It throws you right in spiders mans world where you fight the baddies and almost fall off a 40 story building before spiderman catches you in his web. Absoloutly fantastic! Then there are the three water rides, the popeye rafts where you get very very wet, dudley doorights ripsaw falls is very funny and goes below the water level! Though the best is Jurrasic park in which you seemingly travel though the beautiful river and see lifelike harmless dinosuars till your knocked off course and are almost eaten by a T-rex but an almost 90 degree drop saves you. For the kids is Seuss land a brilliant area all about the stories of Dr seuss with carousels and a brilliant sofa ride.

    Other parks:
Thoise were the best parks but there are still some others such as sea world which is a little less hetic but still fun and busch gardens which is a little further away but if you love big thrills that is the place although animal kingdom is far better. Wet n wild is another water park though is in the middle of international drive and is rather hectic and is not as good as the disney water parks.

    Have a good time.

Remember get to the parks for opening time if you are going at a busy peroid. It really saves you alot of queing.

We love Disney World we love it all and have never been disappointed. On our first trip I was surprised by the crowds and the lines for rides, but we now prepare. We bring books to read, IPods and other things to entertain the kids. We always make our arrangement directly through
We also use the dinning plan, and call 180 days before our trip and make arrangements for our meals.
